SEQURE ES666 Smart Electric Screwdriver

My first thought when this showed up was "me big dumb caveman, electric screwdriver silly." Then I charged it up and actually used it. The SEQURE ES666 is a smart precision screwdriver, and I went from rolling my eyes to reaching for it first.

Out of the box, the presentation is top notch. Everything sits in foam so nothing rattles around, and the manual is a QR code instead of a tiny booklet you'll lose in a week. You get 30 magnetic S2 steel bits covering pretty much every small screw you'll run into, from Phillips and hex to pentalobe, tri-wing and security Torx, plus a magnetizer/demagnetizer and a USB-C cable.

The tool itself looks freaking amazing. It has an aluminum body, a little OLED screen and a front LED, and it feels solid and comfortable in the hand. There are 6 torque levels plus an angle-sensing mode, and that's the part that sold me. Hold the button and twist your wrist the way you want to turn, and it reads that and spins in that direction. There's also an auto mode for continuous drive that stops on its own once the screw is snug. That's what makes it feel like a regular screwdriver that does the work for you instead of a gimmick.

My nitpick is the feel. I get the aesthetic, but the buttons could be easier on the fingers, and I'd love something a bit rubberized on the buttons and the handle too. Metal to metal is good for grounding, but metal to skin feels cold and uninviting. Honestly, a screwdriver that fits your hand like that and does what this one does would change the industry.

I've only had it a short time, so I can't speak to long-term durability yet. But the build of both the case and the tool tells me this one's going to last for years to come.

Bottom line: I thought a smart screwdriver was a gimmick until I started working with one. This is a precision tool that looks great, works smart, and comes in a kit you'll actually want to keep on your desk. SEQURE sent me this one free to review, and they didn't get a say in what I wrote. No affiliate links here either.
